STEPHEN DINSMORE

Stephen Dinsmore, a Nebraska-born artist, presents paintings that speak to the vitality of representational art as a means of communicating visual poetry. His paintings may border on the abstract being a synthesis from several sources; in other instances they may convey a more specific sense of place and time.

Mr. Dinsmore received his BA in 1974 from University of Nebraska - Lincoln. His paintings can be found in public, corporate and private collections nationally and internationally.  Collections include: The Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN; General Electric Corporation, New York, NY; Museum of Nebraska Art, Kearney, NE; American Embassy, Paris, France; Hilton Hotels International; R.R. Donnelley & Sons, Chicago, IL and New York, NY; United Airlines, Inc., Osaka, Japan and Frankfurt, Germany; McGraw Hill; and Park Hyatt Hotel, Beaver Creek, CO.

A painting of his is on the cover of Pulitzer Prize winner Ted Kooser’s most recent book of poems, "Splitting an Order."

Mr. Dinsmore paints from studios in Maine, Florida and Nebraska.
